The rooftop PV project of Kawashima Auto Parts, invested and constructed by Tonghe New Energy Group, was successfully grid-connected in Dafeng District, Yancheng.

Jiangsu Kawashima Auto Parts is a Sino-Japanese joint venture manufacturing auto parts including engine, transmission, chassis and body components, serving Toyota, Honda, Mazda and other well-known automotive brands. Responding to national Dual Carbon goals, the company cooperated with Tonghe New Energy to deploy distributed PV for energy conservation and low-carbon upgrading. 

Adopting Contract Energy Management and the self-consumption with surplus fed to grid model, the project utilizes 20,000㎡ of idle rooftops with 2MWp installed capacity. Over 25 years, total generation reaches 51.64 million kWh, with annual generation of 2.07 million kWh, saving 636.25 tons of standard coal and reducing 1,268.98 tons of CO₂ yearly. PV power covers 25% of conventional energy consumption and cuts corporate electricity expenditure.

Tonghe New Energy will sustain high-quality O&M services for stable operation, and deploy complementary energy storage projects in due course to provide cleaner, more economical green energy solutions for Dual Carbon achievement.
