The rooftop distributed PV project of Borch Automotive Interiors Jiangsu Co., Ltd., invested and constructed by Tonghe New Energy Group, has been fully grid-connected.
As a key project in Sino-Austrian Ecological Park, Borch Automotive Interiors settled in 2018, specializing in production and sales of automotive leather interior components. Its Phase I investment totals $50 million across 75 mu of land, with 30,000㎡ of self-built facilities, expected annual revenue of 1 billion RMB upon full operation. Backed by Germany-based Borch Group, a global leader in automotive leather with 18 worldwide factories, its clients include BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Volkswagen and other premium automotive brands.
Located in Suzhou-Wuxi-Tongzhou Integrated Park, the project has 913kWp installed capacity. Adopting the self-consumption with surplus fed to grid model, it generates 1.01 million kWh annually, reducing 751 tons CO₂, 23 tons SO₂ and 11 tons NOₓ per year.
Given the flexible TPO rooftop material, customized patented mounting brackets were adopted with refined construction for durable rooftop integration, strongly supporting the enterprise’s green upgrading.
