On November 18, 2024, the 5.8MWp rooftop PV project of Sunshore (Zhaoqing), invested and constructed by Suzhou Tonghe New Energy Group, achieved full grid connection, marking another major milestone in sustainable energy development.
Located in Gaoyao District, Zhaoqing, the park is a large intelligent logistics base developed by Warburg Pincus, a global leading investment institution. With over $83 billion in assets under management worldwide, Warburg Pincus is one of the most active international private equity firms in China focusing on long-term sustainable development.
The project covers 50,430㎡ of rooftops with an installed capacity of 5.8MWp, delivering 5.89 million kWh of annual generation and 1,003 hours of effective annual utilization. The PV system is connected via one 10kV line to a dedicated distribution substation.
Adopting the self-consumption with surplus fed to grid model, clean power is prioritized for park tenants including cross-border e-commerce platform SHEIN and cold storage facilities, with surplus power supplied to other enterprises via China Southern Power Grid.
The project reduces fossil fuel reliance and carbon emissions, delivering integrated economic and environmental benefits and reaffirming Tonghe’s commitment to green sustainability. Supported by joint efforts of teams and partners, the Group will keep advancing renewable energy application and build a cleaner energy ecosystem.
