On May 23, 2025, the 2.2MWp rooftop distributed PV project of Hunan Yuetang International Trade City Phase II, constructed by Suzhou Tonghe New Energy Group, was successfully grid-connected, injecting green vitality into Xiangtan and opening a new pathway for cost reduction, efficiency improvement and value growth.
Founded in 2013 as a key provincial and municipal project, China (Central) Yuetang International Trade City is located at the geometric center of the Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan integration area. Traversed by Furong Avenue and Zhaoshan Avenue, it is built as a large comprehensive commercial and logistics cluster radiating central and western China.
The project has an installed capacity of 2.2MWp covering 30,000 ㎡ of rooftops. It annually reduces 624.71 tons of standard coal and 1,245.97 tons of CO₂, with cumulative standard coal reduction of 15,617.67 tons over 25 years.
This marks the second cooperation between Tonghe New Energy Group and Yuetang International Trade City. Grid connection secures stable power supply, cuts grid reliance and electricity expenses. Surplus power is fed to the grid for additional revenue, forming an efficient energy solution that enhances the trade city’s competitiveness and supports sustainable development.
