On July 31, 2024, the energy storage project of Anhui Shoukuang Dachang Metal Materials Co., Ltd., constructed by Tonghe New Energy Group, was officially commissioned. It verifies the Group’s industrial energy storage capabilities and provides a replicable low-carbon model for Anhui industrial enterprises.

Located in Huoqiu Economic Development Zone, Lu’an, the company is a large iron and steel smelting and processing enterprise covering steel production, rolling and by-product development. A national Green Factory and provincial technological demonstration enterprise, it drives local economic and employment growth.

With 16.5MW/33MWh capacity inside the industrial plant, the project operates on regular charge-discharge cycles to smooth peak-valley power gaps, reduce energy costs and provide fast-response peak-shaving services for grid stability, delivering remarkable economic and environmental benefits.

Leveraging strengths in energy storage system integration and intelligent control, Tonghe delivered high-standard construction per industrial norms. Featuring fast response and high conversion efficiency, the system automatically adjusts charge-discharge strategies according to time-of-use tariffs and industrial power demand for optimal energy allocation.
